My name is Hollie Edwards and I am originally from New Zealand.  I began training dogs over there 10 years ago.

Agility was my original focus as I was interested in the sport for the benefit of my own dogs.  My first agility dog was not able to compete as his performance wasn’t at competition standard but we had fun anyway.  As I learnt more about the sport I also began learning about different training methods and how to get better results.  The more performance I craved the more about training I learnt.  Then I started to learn about behaviour and its effects on performance both negative and positive.

I began training other peoples dogs and helping with behavioural issues.  This was the catalyst that made me realise that I was good with dogs and that this was what I wanted to do as a career.  When I came to Australia I did the NDTF Training and Behaviour course and became certified.  My learning hasn't stopped there.  I attend seminars and lectures both here and overseas.  I am also conducting my own research into desensitisation of fear issues with dogs.  In my spare time my competition partner (Darcy) and I compete in Agility and Obedience trials.

Disclaimer: I do not encourage this activity for the safety of the dog and the rider without correct and thorough

training.  Darcy and Fergus were trained from 9 weeks old and didn't travel very far until they were  fully trained.
