As the name suggests this is a Home environment.  I don't kennel any of my guests but some of my clients require their dogs to be crated at night.  I try to accomodate any requirements and I am able to administer medication.  My guests are treated as a family members and if the family go on an outing the guests do to.  Uncle Darcy and Uncle Fergus also help to make your dogs holiday a happy one.  They will play with, run with, sleep with and show them to best spots to sniff and roll in.  First time guests go home with a full account of what they got up to during their stay and I am happy to give weekly updates.

I am also able to cater for special dietary requirements for example BARF and a discount is availiable if you supply your dogs own food.

I recommend you bring the following items when your dog stays with us:

Collar with registration tag, name tag, leash and maybe car harness.
Food Bowl.
Bedding eg. basket, futon, sheepskin rug, blanket etc.
Any medication/heartworm required during your pet's stay.
Special toys.
Brush or Comb, shampoo if an extended visit and you wish your pet washed.
An item of your old clothing as a comforter for your pet, if required.
A list of any special instructions. The more we understand your pet's needs the better we shall be able to take care of them.
If your pet has a walking coat because of the cold weather, please include.

For the safety of my other guests all dogs must be fully vaccinated to C5, wormed and on some form of flea treatment. For the safety of your dog I have tags with my details should the need arise.

Boarding and Training

I also offer a training service and I teach your dog how to coexist in a family environment and learn basic manners: such as sitting for dinner, loose lead walking, not jumping etc.  In addition, basic obedience commands can be taught too.  The training is based on how long the dog is staying (10 days minimum) and what the owners individual requirements are.

When your dog is collected you must spend half an hour learning how to communicate with your dog.  You will be given a full report of the outcome and the levels reached during training.  There will be guidlines in the report which must be followed.  Your dog will test the boundaries when it goes home and the old behaviour will return if you are not firm and consistant and do not follow the guidlines.
